I want to raise a toast to my very first recipe on this blog and the logical solution is to write a cocktail recipe! Also i kind of need that cocktail because its 5 pm on a Sunday and there’s only that many questions you can handle by your 5 year old before losing your sanity.
Just so you know, I’m not a Martini person. I’m definitely not a Dirty Martini person. Im a Whiskey person and here’s my version of a Jack Daniel’s Martini, only its not dirty…. it’s Fithy!!
Ingredients:
Ice
2 oz Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey
1/2 oz Southern Comfort Pepper
1/2 oz Cointreau
Splash of lime
Garnish: cocktail stick, stuffed olives, pickles, BBQ spice rub, sea salt, lime wedge
Preparation:
Prepare the cocktail stick by threading olives & pickles through it. Mix the BBQ spice rub and sea salt in a saucer. Rub the wedge of lime across the rim of a martini glass and dip the rim in the mix. Place the prepared cocktail stick in the glass.
Add all the ingredients (not the garnish please!) to a cocktail shaker filled with ice (1/2 to 3/4 full) and Shake till your palms feel numb! Kidding, just until the shaker is frosted from the outside. Strain into the ready martini glass & Serve.
Or drink up like I did!!
Lovely beginning!!! Cheers to that!!!
